      • To have faith in ones spouse that he/she will keep a promise of commitment
      • To have faith that the world will someday be peaceful
      • To have faith in a person to pay you back
      • To have faith is to be full dependant on the Will of supernatural forces
  • Faith as the basis for human knowledge

Many noted philosophers espoused the idea that faith is the basis of all knowledge. as one of his key contributions to philosophy, the idea of "faith seeking understanding" other words, one must assume, believe, or have faith in the credibility of a person, place, thing, or idea in order to have a basis for knowledge.

Faith is one of the most important teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. The word faith appears frequently in the New Testament. The following are the teachings regarding faith:

Faith is to hope for things which are not seen but are believed to be true (Heb. 11: 1)
It is a gift from God given to sinners so they may understand who Christ is.
Faith is the first step toward the realization of repentance.
    Faith goes beyond belief.

Faith for Christians,is the gateway to the knowledge of God (faith is the fear of the Lord) of Proverbs, and it is a tiny light by which God enlightens his people.
